About

Who we are

FloFile Captions is developed in Toronto by 1001746423 Ontario Inc., an Ontario corporation.

The company

We build software for working sports photographers. FloFile Captions is our product for speeding up accurate IPTC captioning on deadline.

Founded from the field

The company was founded by a professional sports photographer who covers NHL, MLB, and international events. The workflow behind FloFile Captions comes from years of shooting, editing, and filing under the same pressure as wire and team shooters everywhere: the game ends, the desk is waiting, and every caption still has to be right.

The problem we solve

After a period, inning, or final, photographers often caption dozens or hundreds of frames. Names, jersey numbers, verbs, and game state have to be consistent for wire services, clubs, and clients. Doing that by hand in a text field is slow and error-prone when the clock is running.

FloFile Captions gives photographers structured controls — players, verbs, and game context — with a live caption preview and IPTC read/write on the files themselves. The goal is simple: file faster without sacrificing accuracy.
